Freelance Writing

Part of my Generations business is writing. Since November 2010, I started writing for online websites like Demand Studios, FireHow, Experts123, and Squidoo. I also finished and published my first book, To Soar with the Tigers a story about the life and war diary of Robert R. Brouk, a Flying Tiger. This month I began writing my second book which I hope to publish this summer about locating Chicago Genealogical records.

There are two freelance writing blogs I discovered in the last month that I want to share. Both provided me with so much great information.  Anyone beginning their freelance writing career should check them out.  The first is No Job For Mom by Felicia A. Williams. Felicia provides a free Ebook download called So You Want to be a Freelance Writer.  I downloaded Felicia’s book and it is fantastic. A wonderful resource for those just starting out or who need some additional information and motivation. No Job For Mom posts reviews about online writing sites, earning statistics, articles written for online sites, and great advice.

The second blog I would like to recommend is The Freelancer Today. I just discovered this a week ago and cannot stay away! The blog is written by freelancer Kenneth Crawford. Main sections on his site include Adsense Revenue Sharing Sites, Google Adsense Tips, Making Money Writing a Blog, Up-Front Pay Writing for the Web, and Writing Life. I found the Making Money Writing a Blog very useful and the tips provided in the many posts will also help me build my writing career and revenue online. Definitely check out The Freelancer Today.
