Tuesday’s Tip – Don’t Veer Off Course

I got the latest Family Tree Magazine in the mail last week and read a wonderful article by John Philip Colletta called Hazards of Histories. I love listening to John speak at conferences. I always learn so much.

His article discusses nine pitfalls researchers may encounter as they seek out their roots. With each of his nine pitfalls, he gives a great explanation. He also discusses how he has encountered some of these pitfalls in his research and writing. It is a very honest take on his own research and writings which I really appreciate reading.

If you do not subscribe to Family Tree Magazine, go to your local Barnes and Noble or Border’s Books and pick one up today. Read John’s article. You may just discover something new about your own research.
