Tuesday’s Tip – Prepare for your Research Trip

Last week I discussed John Philip Colletta’s article Hazards of Histories. This week I’d like to encourage you to read Lisa Alzo’s Research Trip Survival Kit in the Family Tree Magazine for July 2011.

Lisa lists 21 essential things when preparing for a research trip. The first thing on her list is “Itinerary” which includes not only the trip itinerary and packing but also the research plan. Her articles goes into what to pack from luggage to research gear like cameras, portable scanners and laptops. She even includes a packing list at the end of the article.

Check it out especially if you are planning a research trip soon. You will find lots of great information in this article.
