Have you heard our very own Chicago genealogy man, Thomas MacEntee is going to speak on WGN Radio tomorrow morning? You can read the full story here, but he will appear at 8:00 a.m. CST, Sunday, August 21, with Rick Kogan on the “The Sunday Papers” show. Listen live or listen later. You have both options.
FGS2011 is only a few weeks away and my excitement is growing. It will be a mini-vacation for me to get away from home and life’s usual responsibilities. I will get to meet so many new people and network for my business, learn many new things and experience new ways of researching, evaluating and writing family histories.
Not only does my professional genealogy business take me to conferences but it also allows me to travel a little for client work. Whether I’m going to Springfield, IL, Gary, IN, Jefferson City, MO, or DeKalb, IL to name a few besides the great city of Chicago, I love it. There are always new collections to explore, new people to meet and things to learn. And when I help a client piece together a puzzle or solve a mystery, my job is even more rewarding.
Can you tell I love my job?
More on FGS2011 over the next several weeks and from the conference itself. Stay tuned here or find and follow me on Twitter as @jencoffeelover and @generationsbiz.
