Midwestern Roots Family History and Genealogy Conference 2012

I stopped by the Indiana Genealogical Society booth at FGS2011 to chat with Tiny Lyons of Gen Wish List blog. I have been thinking about joining the Indiana Genealogical Society because they have, as of this post, 668 databases. These databases represent the 92 counties in Indiana. The society also provides members with an electronic newsletter and journal.

While I was there I picked up a shiny card (who doesn’t love shiny things) about the Midwestern Roots Family History and Genealogy Conference 2012. The theme is Where Do You Think You Find It?

The conference is scheduled for July 20 and 21, 2012 in Indianapolis. There are some pre-conference activities scheduled for July 19. Speakers include Dick Eastman, Curt Witcher, J. Mark Lowe, D. Joshua Taylor, Shamele Jordon, Megan Smolenyak Smolenyak, Dan Poffenberger and Patricia Van Skaik.

You can learn more about their conference on their webpage including information about accommodations.

Have you attended a Midwestern Roots conference before? What was your experience? What did you think?
