The Christmas Tree
Did you have a real tree or was it artificial? How big was the tree? Who decorated the tree? What types of Christmas trees did your ancestors have?
Growing up we had real trees every year. The trees were usually at least five feet tall and smelled wonderful. My brother, sister, and parents would decorate the tree.
My twins have enjoyed looking at their scrapbooks I made since they were born, the last few weeks. It has been a nice trip down memory lane to look at the past Christmas pictures. Pictures of twins not able to decorate while their big brother does. Pictures of short, walking twins standing next to the tree and now the three boys today.
Another thing I have noticed a lot, more recently, is they all have their own very different personalities. This comes through not only in real life but in their pictures. Drew, the oldest boy is very willing to smile for the camera. Tyler, the youngest twin now wants to pose for the camera and be silly. He’s always willing to give you his “Tyler” smile. Then Luke, the oldest twin hates to have his picture taken. It is difficult to get a smiling face from him. Hence the “face” in the picture. HA!
It is also fun to see how the boys have grown. The tree has remained the same size, yet seems smaller every year as the boys grow.
These three boys make decorating the tree each year an experience!
