Propaganda sometimes has a negative connotation, yet not all propaganda is negative. Think about the recruiting posters of World War II, particularly for women in military service. Think about how the messages and pictures depict strong women, capable of accomplishing anything. Now consider this was during a time when many women were still home makers, teachers, and caregivers. The war provided women many new opportunities to experience military life, industrial/workforce life, and gain more education than they may have had an opportunity to take advantage of in the past.
